Cinnamon and Vanilla Oat Milk

I use this milk ALL the time in my porridge and smoothies. It is also however really delicious just to drink on its own warm or cold. And the best thing is that compared to shop-bought plant-based milks it costs only a few pennies. Plus it’s fun to make so here’s how to do it:


1 x cup oats

1/2 tsp cinnamon

Pinch of salt

Few cardamon pods (optional)

1 x tsp vanilla

1 -2 tsp your preferred sweetener (I use [virtually guilt-free] date syrup or molasses)




  1. Soak the oats in 3 cups of water for 30 mins
  2. Add the other ingredients
  3. Blend until smooth
